Sometimes kids come to counseling because they have big feelings, something important has happened in their life, or the grown-ups who care about them have noticed something feels different. No matter the reason, we want you to know that you are welcome here.

Before you come to Willow Lane, we wanted to give you a little sneak peek into our office so it can feel a bit more comfortable and familiar.

When you first arrive, one of our counselors will meet you and your parent or caregiver in the waiting room and show you around their office. They’ll introduce you to the toys, art supplies, and different things you can use in the playroom, and they’ll also go over a few simple rules to help everyone feel safe and comfortable.

You do not have to have the “right” words here. Sometimes kids talk, sometimes they play, create art, build, imagine, or simply take their time getting comfortable. That’s okay with us.
